Same habits, different backdrop.

Hi there Reader,

We hit the West Coast for our final family vacation before school starts. Southern California is my favorite place.

And honestly? Not a lot changed.

I really like the habits I've built for myself. They're simple, repeatable, and they don't require anything I only have at home. I love to travel, which means I need habits that can follow me anywhere and that includes California, the beach, and a rental house kitchen I've never cooked in before.

Here's what my days actually looked like:

1. Mornings Set the Mood
Every morning starts the same way, sunlight, water, food, and coffee. I've been doing this for years. Sunlight sets my circadian rhythm and helps me sleep that night. Water rehydrates after hours without it and gets my digestion moving. Food and coffee come next and in that order, which leads me to...

2. Breakfast Is a Priority
I wake up hungry, and I love that. It means my metabolism is working. Breakfast before or with coffee regulates my blood sugar, keeps cortisol where it needs to be (high in the morning, decreasing as the day goes on), and signals my body that it's safe to take on everything the day has to offer.

3. Movement
I love a good gym session, but walking is the absolute best thing you can do for blood sugar regulation, bloating, digestion, and sleep. And on vacation, walking means exploring. New views, new sights, new sounds of a new neighborhood. I’ll take it.

4. Sunlight, Sand, Beach
We have the woods at home, so the sand and salt water is what I crave. Sand can regulate your nervous system. Salt water decreases inflammation. Sunlight does everything, circadian rhythm, mood, energy. You won't find me loading up on sunscreen, but I do wear a hat, cover up when I've had enough, and sit in the shade when my body tells me to.

5. Ending the Day with a PWiFF Meal
Whether we were at a restaurant or cooking at the rental, I wrapped up every day with a PWiFF plate. Because I know the framework, I can build a balanced meal anywhere and I don't need to be in my kitchen with my usual groceries to make it work. And yes, there was wine. And if I was feeling it, dessert. Both enjoyed without guilt and without any thought of "starting over" when we got home.

The habits you build at home are the ones you can take with you everywhere.

You don't have to keep starting over. Real consistency is quiet, less dramatic, and honestly a little anticlimactic and that's exactly the kind of lifestyle I'm after.

What about you? Does vacation turn into a full lifestyle spiral? What would it look like if it didn't?

Hit reply, I'd love to hear.

I can't wait to live a life well nourished with you!

Hi there Reader, I just wrapped up my first Foundation Blueprint cohort and I am so excited to have created a program that is all mine! When women start the Foundation Blueprint, one of the first things I ask is a simple check-in: where was your hunger this morning on a scale of 1-5? One woman wrote back: "I haven't had lunch yet, but my hunger was a three this morning when I woke up. That is progress for me because I'm usually not hungry in the morning. Woot, woot!" That message stopped me....

Hi there Reader, How much should I eat? I get this question constantly. In DMs, in discovery calls, from women who have been trying to figure out the answer for years. And the honest answer is the one that sounds too simple to be true: more than you probably are. Here's what I know from working with women, most of them aren't eating too much. They're eating too little. And they've been doing it for so long that their body has adapted around it, making everything harder; the energy, the sleep,...

Hi there Reader, Consistency over perfection. You've heard me say it. A lot. But I want to show you what it actually looks like because I think most people hear that phrase and still picture something that isn't quite right. It looks like eating breakfast every morning. Not because you have to, but because you understand why it matters and you've built enough structure that it's just what you do. It looks like eating the best PWiFF lunch you can when you've spent the day running from...
